Tech Tip Tuesday: How to Place the tailBeaconX in Standby Mode with AV-30 (Video Transcript)
In this demonstration video, we provide instructions for the user to place the tailBeaconX in STANDBY MODE with the AV-30 unit. To complete this procedure, please follow the instructions below:
- First, when you turn on the AV-30 unit, you may not be on the transponder page. On the bottom right corner, it will show which page number you are on (e.g., 1:3). Press the right button (HLD BRT) 4X until you see that page number icon read: AI.
- Next, press the center button 1X. You will see “VFR” and “MODE” on the bottom right of the screen. VFR will be highlighted (white font color) and we want to highlight MODE (translucent font color).
- Press and hold the right button until you see “MODE” go from being translucent to being highlighted (white font color), demonstrating that it has been selected.
- Press the left button to select “DONE.”
- In order to get the W-Fi on the tailBeaconX available, so that you can configure it, this is how you will get it into standby mode.
