LED Indicators
The ping978EC has two status LEDs. The table below breaks down the LEDs.
| LED Color | State | Meaning | Notes |
| Green | Flashing | Receiving UAT (978 MHz) and/or 1090ES traffic | Normal when other ADS-B traffic is present. Confirms ADS-B IN is active. |
| Green | Off | No traffic currently being received | Normal if no other aircraft are nearby. |
| Red | Flashing | Transmitting (ADS-B OUT active) | Normal operation when “UAT TX enabled” and the unit has GNSS lock. |
| Red | Off | Not transmitting | Expected before GNSS lock, or if the unit is in Standby / Receive Only mode. |
