Confirm that you have the correct ICAO, Tail Number, and ADS-B ID. If on an IFR flight plan you will have a Flight Plan ID.
- If Tail Number says, VFR then you will need to configure the Call Sign in the App.
- If ADS-B ID does not match this also needs to be corrected in the App.
- Flight Plan ID may not match but is only on the report when filing IFR.
- If you have "Aircraft is Currently on the No Services Aircraft List and was on the list during the operation." You will need to contact the FAA to request removal from the NSAL which will require fixing your failures and completing at least 3 flawless flights.
- Confirm that if you have a tailBeacon or skyBeacon that you only have Airborne UAT checked. (if at an airport with ground ADS-B then Surface UAT.) If Airborne 1090 is checked also, check your install. Most likely you have a non-compliant ADS-B system.
If you have Emitter Category highlighted, check to confirm that it is set correctly. Most aircraft should be "light" and not "small." There will be a setting for helicopter if the tailBeacon is installed on the helicopter.
Failure of BALT means that the tailBeacon or skyBeacon internal Baro has failed and the unit will need to be RMAd and returned to MFG for replacement. We recommend installing a moisture trap in the future to help prevent this. See our article on how to install this moisture trap.
