Aligning Casia
For the alignment and configuration of the Casia follow the instructions below OR watch the instructional video. It is important for the Casia to point in a specific direction with as much accuracy as possible. This allows it to pinpoint the Azimuth and elevation of an intruder aircraft within half a degree.
These instructions and instructional video assumes that you have already installed your system on a mast. And have it powered up and connected to the internet. If not, please go back and follow the steps outlined in the mounting installation video.
- To ensure the Casia G has an accurate heading, we want to face the system towards True North.
- Use the arrow at the top of your system as the reference point for aligning towards True North, as accurately as possible.

Use the compass app on your phone (iOS or Android). On an iOS phone, it is important to make sure you have clicked the “Use True North” function:

To confirm the GPS location of your device, it is recommended that you open your situational awareness tool and check that it is in the proper location.
